Director of Game Acquisition – Portfolio Growth & Strategy

Expanding a diverse and successful game portfolio requires proactive sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation of high potential external titles. This role leads our game acquisition efforts, identifying standout experiences and creators across the Roblox ecosystem and beyond, with the goal of integrating them into the DYN Games brand.

As Director of Game Acquisition, you’ll shape our portfolio strategy by scouting existing Roblox games and developer teams for acquisition, publishing, or investment opportunities. You’ll assess performance potential, initiate conversations with creators, and lead deal execution, from early discussions to acquisition structuring and transition planning.

Principal Duties

  • Develop and own a studio-level acquisition strategy focused on identifying high-performing or high-potential Roblox games and creators
  • Source acquisition opportunities through platform data, creator relations, trend monitoring, and direct outreach
  • Evaluate games based on KPIs (DAU, CCU, retention, monetization, growth), creative fit, and scalability
  • Lead end-to-end acquisition discussions, including initial contact, valuation modeling, due diligence, and negotiation
  • Partner with legal, product, and publishing teams to structure fair and scalable acquisition terms
  • Support transition plans post-acquisition—coordinating with dev, marketing, and operations to integrate new IPs smoothly
  • Track portfolio performance and contribute to forecasting and growth plans
  • Build and maintain relationships with top developers, influencers, and studios across Roblox and UGC platforms

Qualifications

  • 1+ years in business development, publishing, or game acquisitions
  • Proven success identifying and acquiring high-value games or studios
  • Strong analytical background; ability to assess product performance and forecast potential
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with comfort navigating creative and financial conversations
  • Deep familiarity with Roblox development ecosystem, trends, and monetization mechanics
  • Experience working cross-functionally with legal, product, dev, and community teams
  • A passion for empowering creators and building sustainable live game portfolios
