Technical Sound Designer – Immersive Audio Composition

Sound plays a crucial role in molding an immersive experience for the player, whether through ambient detail, gameplay, or emotional resonance. We aim to build immersive Roblox experiences where audio is treated as a core design pillar.

As a growing independent studio, we focus on delivering scalable, high-quality games that combine visual polish, thoughtful systems, and creative expression. We are looking for a Technical Sound Designer to lead the implementation of interactive audio across our projects. In this role, you will design and integrate sound effects, environment audio, and dynamic sound effect compositions that elevate the player experience. You’ll collaborate closely with our engineers, designers, and artists to ensure that sound is cohesive, responsive, and optimized across platforms. Your work will directly shape the feel and clarity of gameplay from the first launch to the final moment.

Principal Duties

  • Improve the immersion of the game and produce top-notch sound effects and ambient music
  • Implement and integrate audio systems
  • Create dynamic audio features, including adaptive layers, triggers, and spatial sound
  • Organize sound libraries and keep documentation up to date
  • Collaborate with the team to make sure the audio fits the technical limitations and the game’s vision and feel

Qualifications

  • Effective Communication Skills
  • 3+ years of experience composing sound for interactive media, games, or real-time settings
  • Knowledge of audio design programs like Reaper, Pro Tools, Audacity, or comparable DAWs
  • Proficiency in integrating audio into interactive platforms or game engines (Roblox Studio recommended)
  • Strong knowledge of interactive sound systems, real-time mixing, and spatial audio
  • Knowledge of logic-based audio integration (such as layered sound, triggers, and region-based playback)
  • Capacity to enhance audio assets for interoperability and performance
  • Portfolio of sound design projects for video games or immersive settings
  • Outstanding teamwork and communication abilities in cross-functional development groups
